Robert Kiyosaki’s breakthrough book Rich Dad Poor Dad changed the way many of us look at money and taught the differences in mindsets (and cashflow patterns!) between the Rich, the Poor and the middle class.
In his 2nd must-read book The Cashflow Quadrant, he introduced the four avenues or quadrants from which we can generate income. To be wealthy, Kiyosaki recommended that we learn to generate our incomes from the "B" (Business-owner) and "I" (Investor) quadrant as opposed to the "E" (Employee) and "S" (Self-employed) quadrant.
This model is so insightful and so multi-layered, I found myself dreaming about how it could apply to different aspects of my own personal and business development.
The third book Rich Dad’s Guide to Investing, is a valuable handbook on investing and business. Robert retells his start in investing, and with co-author Sharon Lechter sets out to draw lessons from his journey and convey them in a comprehensive but clear manner. It’s a book to read and dip back into frequently.
I have investing friends who describe these two books as the most valuable in the Kiyosaki stable. Robert and Sharon present really great resources, useful information and insights -- along with encouragement -- and the combination of ’story’ and ’data’ makes it appeal to all sorts of people.
