Wheeling and dealing through the 1960s and 70s, Olly saw and accurately foretold the huge increases in property prices that swept the market during that period. By the late 70s he had bought and sold literally hundreds of houses. In the 80s he founded a very successful public company, Landmark, specialising in commercial property investments. Landmark grew from $5 million to $500 million in just a few years. Along with most others, it was swept away by the cataclysmic events of 1987, which few people foresaw.
Since then he has pursued in private an active role investing in a mixture of residential and commercial properties on a long-term basis. Olly continues to deliver seminars on property investing in association with Empower Education and also offers a personal mentoring programme for a small group of people each year.
He lives in Auckland and remains married to his first wife. They have three adult children and an increasing brood of cherished grandchildren. He enjoys antiques collecting and classic cars.
